Lesson Procedures

1.The students take their time to read the passage. Then they were asked to look for the correct answers  for the wrong ones again. They check the answers with the teacher.

2. Go through the whole question with them. Get them to voice their opinions .

Only 10 out of 23 students  could manage to score  7 and above correct.

(Correction of answers for Semester 2 Reading 800/3 Questions 1 – 7).

1.Ask the students to underline unfamiliar vocabulary found in the text. Get other groups of students to look up for the meaning.

2. Discuss the text with them.  Elicit answers from them the differences between 'True', 'False' and 'Not stated' to check their understanding.

3.Get each group to list the main idea in each paragraph. Discuss.

4. Discuss Questions 1 – 7 with them. Get them to justify their answers by providing reasons for their answers.

Reflection

8 out of 23 students managed to obtain marks within the range of 20-27 /45 while the rest were between 11-19/45. Thus, the paper was badly done by the students. Lots of exercises in most parts of the paper for them.
